In particular these competencies are identified as essential skills for those engaged in supervising apprentices. Workplace Supervisor Skill SetThe units that you will be required to successfully complete are the TAEDEL301A Provide work skill instruction, TAEDEL404A Mentor in the workplace and the TAEASS301A Contribute to assessment PathwayThese units from TAE10 Training and Education Training Package meet industry requirements for mentoring apprentices and trainees. On completion of this short course you will receive a statement of attainment for partial completion of the full TAE40110 qualification. The TAE40110 CIV in Training and Assessment qualification is composed of 10 units in total (7 core and 3 elective units). This short course contains 3 of the elective units required for the full TAE40110 qualification. Core Units of studyYou are required to complete 3 units of study for the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) - Workplace Supervisor Skill Set Mentor in the workplace (TAEDEL404A) Establish and develop a professional and mentoring relationship with a learner, in particular an apprentice or trainee employed by, or undertaking work placement in, a workplace. It includes establishing the need for mentoring, developing plan/framework, facilitating and mentoring the mentoring relationship, and evaluating the effectiveness of mentoring. Provide work skill instruction (TAEDEL301A ) Conduct individual and group instruction and demonstrate work skills, using existing learning resources in a safe and comfortable learning environment. Determine the success of both the training provided and one’s own personal training performance. It emphasises the training as being driven by the work process and context.
