Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Accredited Online Training recognises previous learning.

Recognition of Prior learning (RPL) is "the acknowledgement of the skills and knowledge” that you have gained through previous studies, work and life experiences. If you are granted recognition in a unit/s of competency, you do not have to re-study it.

The Department of Training and Employment states that, "Your prior learning can only be recognised in formal vocational qualifications if your skills and knowledge are current and meet today's industry standards. You must be able to show your skills and have them verified." Therefore RPL is the same as Recognition of Current Competency (RCC).

Assemble your portfolio and send it to:

Your RPL application will be processed within two weeks of receipt of your portfolio.

How to fast track your course?

AOT students can choose to accelerate or fast track through the course by following an assessment-only pathway.  This means that the course is structured so you can move to any part of the content or assessments at anytime. You can complete the course as quickly as you can complete the assessments.  In other words, you don’t have to waste time going over content you already know - just go directly to the course assessments.
