This short course is essential for anyone responsible for or involved with managing operations and/or managing risk within their organisation. This course will guide you to become competent in developing and implementing operational plans and identifying and managing risk.

The term, operations, refers to all of the day-to-day functions of a business that contribute to making profits and meeting customer requirements. You will learn to develop an operational plan, manage resource acquisition, develop contingencies and communicate the plan to your team. Resource acquisition includes recruiting and inducting employees, physical resources and intellectual property. You will then learn to monitor and assess the progress of the operational plan to meet profit and productivity targets, identify and rectify areas of under-performance.

Risk management is central to effective business performance and is key to achieving positive results in customer satisfaction and profit. Learn to systematically establish the risk context, identify risks, analyse risks and select and implement risk treatments. Become confident that you can effectively manage any genuine threat to your business and reduce its impacts on organisational objectives.
