As Richard Branson says, “Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients.” His philosophy is that if you give your staff the tools to do a good job, if they feel looked after and supported, their happiness at work will have a knock on effect to customers and clients and the overall success of the business.

In this course, you will learn to administer performance development, a process for creating a workforce that understands what needs to be achieved at an organisational level. The focus is on improvement, learning and development of individuals to produce a high-performance workforce.

You will learn to determine individual and team development needs to meet team objectives, support the implementation of learning and development and monitor the outcomes. In order to do this, you must have excellent communication skills and the ability to facilitate and apply communication strategies in the workplace.

Successful completion of the units of competency outlined below for this short course will earn you a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of BSB40420 Certificate IV in Human Resource Management.

  • Human resources assistant
  • Human resources officer
  • Learning and development officer
