This single unit course describes the skills and knowledge required to undertake a straightforward project or a section of a larger project. It covers developing a project plan, administering and monitoring the project, finalising the project and reviewing the project to identify lessons learned for application to future projects.

This unit applies to individuals who play a significant role in ensuring a project meets timelines, quality standards, budgetary limits and other requirements set for the project. It does not apply to specialist project managers. For specialist project managers, the other units of competency in the project management field (BSBPMG) will be applicable.

Successful completion of the unit of competency outlined below for this short course will earn you a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of the BSB50215 Diploma of Business.

You may use the unit of this course to credit transfer towards the below qualifications at AOT:

  • BSB40215 Certificate IV in Business
  • BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management
  • BSB42618 Certificate IV in New Small Business
  • BSB50215 Diploma of Business
  • BSB50415 Diploma of Business Administration
  • BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management

Talk to our course advisor for more information on credit transfer rules and the qualification that will best suit your needs.

We provide you with three (3) months to complete the course. There is no minimum timeframe for completion.

The course is self-paced so the hours of study vary from student to student and are influenced by many factors including the amount of time you are able to dedicate to your studies. That is why we give you three (3) months and all the support you need. The rest is up to you!
