Virtual Classroom

A virtual classroom is an online meeting room where you can meet your trainer or assessor to talk, share ideas, discuss course material and/or be assessed.

We use Microsoft Teams. It is free and easy to use. You will need a microphone and speakers or a headset to participate in the virtual classroom. We recommend a USB headset. You do not need a webcam.

Sessions are booked in our virtual classroom using an online interactive booking calendar.

The virtual classroom has four (4) purposes:

  1. Virtual classroom assessment: At various times throughout your course you may be invited to participate in a virtual classroom assessment session with a trainer.
  2. Mentoring session: If you would like to book some personalised training/mentoring.
  3. RPL application: If you would like to apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) you will need to book an RPL interview with your trainer to discuss your portfolio of evidence.
  4. Course induction: If after watching the induction video in your welcome email you feel you require further assistance you may book a personal course induction.

Sessions generally are 15-30 minutes in length. There is no limit to the number of sessions you can book and attend.
