A virtual classroom is an online meeting room where you can meet your trainer or assessor to talk, share ideas, discuss course material and/or be assessed.
We use Microsoft Teams. It is free and easy to use. You will need a microphone and speakers or a headset to participate in the virtual classroom. We recommend a USB headset.
Sessions are booked in our virtual classroom using an online interactive booking calendar.
The virtual classroom has four (4) purposes:
- Virtual classroom assessment: A virtual classroom session must be conducted when a unit’s assessment has an oral component, for example, you may need to participate in a role-play with your assessor.
- Mentoring session: If you would like to book some personalised training/mentoring.
- RPL application: If you would like to apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) you will need to book an RPL interview with your trainer to discuss your portfolio of evidence.
- Course induction: If after watching the induction video in your welcome email you feel you require further assistance you may book a personal course induction.
Sessions generally are 15-30 minutes in length. There is no limit to the number of sessions you can book and attend.
